Walchandnagar Industries Ltd., Pune to Tarapur Atomic Power Project Site. Which is the highest package (10 meters height) ever been transported on Indian Roads.
Longest Package
Imported Heavy and Oversized pkgs. weighing upto 302 Tons and 55 Metre long ex. Nuovo Pignone, FBM, Bosco, of Italy, MAN GHH, West Germany and L & T Hazira were brought by Heavy Lift Ship and transferred to Urmila s 2000 Ton Self - Propelled Barge at Kakinada Anchorage and offloaded by Roll off method onto a specially constructed Urmila s Jetty at Kakinada and transported by Hydraulic Trailers to Nagarjuna s Kakinada Fertilizer Plant Site.
Heaviest Package :
In an operation that involved movement on multi-axle hydraulic trailers and weighing of the deck modules using highly accurate calibrated load cells, the load-out onto a barge, of two offshore platform deck modules, each weighing 800 tonnes and as large as a ten-storey building, was the heaviest load moved by contractor in India.
